About the author Jim Butcher
was born 1971 in Missouri, and began, inspired by the novels of Tolkien and Lewis to write early fantasy, where he managed not to publish the books. Only with Stormfront, the first book about the magician and investigator Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, which is written in 1996, and was published in 2000, he achieved his breakthrough. The Dresden Files with January 2008, include 10 novels and is a great success. The audiobooks are by actor James Marsters (aka Spike from the TV series Buffy ) spoken, 2007, the TV series was launched was (but apparently after only 12 episodes set), and an adaptation as a graphic novel is already being planned.
