Inhalt (Klappentext, Orbit)
Car mechanic and sometime shapeshifter Mercy Thompson has learned - the hard way - why her race was almost exterminated. When European vampires immigrated to North America, they found Mercy's people had a hidden talent for vampire slaying. Unfortunately for Mercy, the queen of the local vampire seethe has discovered her true identity.
The undead queen is also furious when she learns Mercy has crossed her and killed one of her . Own Mercy may be protected from direct reprisal by the werewolf pack (and her interesting relationship with its Alpha), but that just means Marsilia Mercy will come after some other way. Mercy Sun had better prepare to watch her back.
opinion
In Volume 4 we will re vamp. First appeared Mercy's vampire friend (yes, with the Scooby-Mobile) suddenly half dead (or whatever you call a half-dead undead?) In their house and someone is painting an X in the form of two crossed bones at the door Mercy's workshop. A sign that the vampires they regard as a traitor and to account want to move. This is, quite apart from the known to be basically friendly temperament of the vampires in Blood Bound (Volume 2 of the series) to find. As Mercy then leaves the city to their friends not to put at risk and the way to do an old school friend a favor, it reaches almost from bad to worse.
This volume is again very entertaining, even if the story somewhat predictable.
